Design has met with Techonolgy at Asansör İstanbul!

International Asansör İstanbul Exhibition has once more hosted the future of the lift industry. ILDC- International Lift Design Awards has taken place with the support of AYSAD(Turkish Elevator and Escalator Industrialists Association), İFO and ETMK(Industrial Designers Professional Institution) for the third time in conjunction with the Asansör İstanbul 2009 Exhibition, and scope of the awards this year was “Lighting and Illumination in the Lifts”.

In ILDC, it was targeted for the elements and solutions that form a bond between the user and light in the lifts, to be created in an innovative and original understanding. The winner Ms.Esra Keskin ve Mr. Fatih Şenay, have been given a 5000€ award on their joint project, 2nd winner Mr.Emre Çağlar has won 3.000 €, 3rd Mr.Korhan Büyükdemirci winning 1.000 € and Mr. Hakan Evkaya who was chosen for the KONE Special Award, won a special trip to KONE Facilities in Finland. The prizes were given to winners by Mr. Selahattin Durak- Chairman of Board IFO, Mr. Sefa Targit- President of AYSAD, Mr. Michel Chartron- President of ELA and Mr. Cuneyt Isin- KONE General Manager at a special dinner organized in Galata Anemon Hotel Pitti Restaurant on April 7, 2009.
All designs are exhibited on a seperate display area within Asansor İstanbul 2009 Exhibition.
